No worries. It's just that sometimes the pictures get taken down.Personally, I'm fine with any good image being posted in this thread. But the rules say "large format". And 6x9cm isn't.

that "definition" can't have originated from Central Europe....

In the old oldtime, I have seen an add, where small format goes to 8x10... medium format till 20x24", and everything bigger than that was LF.....

Would give a small community I think...

Although it's my most beloved camera (Horserman VH I bought new some years ago) I think not, because this forum isn't a "view camera forum", but a "LF Forum" instead

    Correct.

    From the homepage: http://www.largeformatphotography.info/why.html

Images from conventional medium-format camera (Hasselblad, Rollie, non-view panoramic cameras, etc.) are considered "off-topic" and not appropriate for the main forums. Images from such cameras, however, may be posted in The Lounge for discussion there.
From another thread, not sure if this answers the question or not.

That is good to hear. I have started using a 6X7 roll film holder and when I have enough money for a new camera I want to get a Shen-Hao TFC69-A. It is nice to know that I can continue to post here. I very much enjoy the community.

Roll film holder in view cameras have always been fine in this forum...

A 6x7 roll film image (taken with a Gowland PocketView 4x5, 150mm lens) -- Gums in Australia
Scanned 8x10 color (RA4) print -- printed by me

PS -- the definition of "large format" for the purpose of this forum is camera type based, not film size based.

I do not remember where I have read it but it was suggested that anything smaller than 1/4 Plate was 'medium format' and 1/4 Plate was recognised/treated by many old photographers as entrance to LF.

Re: Does my 6x9 Horseman qualify as "large"?

My book on Miniature camera photography (pre-WWII) calls anything smaller than 1/4 plate a Miniature format camera.

However as others have said a 6x9 camera with some movements is slightly different to a fixed lens camera so is bordeline and generally accepted as a View camera.
