De Vere 5108 enlarger Question

Can the De Vere 5108 head assembly (including bellows, lens stage etc.) fit on the 504 column. i.e. if the 5108 column is set up is not suitable, can it fit on the 504 column set up?

Afraid not if going by dimensions alone. The 5108 column is around 8" wide and the 504 is 6". One *could* theoretically hack the 5108 stages onto the lens and neg support brackets of the 504 but the weight of the 8x10 head might be too much I'd think, even though Deveres are built like tanks.

Are you having enlarger height issues ?

Hi Fred. No, there's a wall mounted enlarger, with no baseboard etc. I have a spare Devere 504 bench stand and column. On another point, could I attach the 5108 wall column to the 504 bench base?
