Shelf life of P-30 kit opened & unopened?

I saw with great pleasure that the Ilfochrome P-30 kit is being sold by B&H. However it is a 3 1/2 hour drive to N.Y. to pick it up, since they will not ship it!

What is the shelf-life unopened and opened with this?

I don't know the answer but: I once bought a couple of P30 kits from a store in NYC, did not get around to using them for about six months and only the fixer was still any good.

Part of the problem is that we don't know for how long the chemistry was sitting on the shelf before we buy it. I have since purchased from Freestyle and the chemistry is drop-shipped from the distributor; I have not had any problems.

BTW: as you may already know, Ilfochrome is ceasing production.
