Taking photographs on the Isle of Wight

I was there for Cowes Race Week in August and dropped by Beken. The original idea was to buy a calendar. I wound up meeting the printmaker, Keith, and succumbed to buying a print in the series that they are doing straight from the glass plates. It arrived a couple of weeks ago, and I'm very happy with it. Go with the temptation.

Isn't Ansel Adams the guy who did a really good 35mm depression era photo of a girl and her brother and then spent the rest of his life doing snapshots of mountains and other really boring stuff?

I know there is one poster on here who is proud to be a part of John Szarkowski's MOMA show of "photographers who weren't influenced by Ansel Adams"

Count me a part of that crowd.
