    Copal 0 shutter question

Recently acquired a Schneider Angulon in a Copal 0 shutter (I think that's what it is, it has 1 to 1/500 + B, no aperture stops). There are M and X lever positions (must be for sync) plus a V character to the left of those. Anyone know what the V is for?

Yes, you are right, synchro compur on the front faceplate that I hadn't noticed before.
