    Scanners

I have an Epson V500 which I really like for medium format scanning. My question relates to large format negatives and the availability of scanners at a reasonable cost-for me say up to $500. The purpose of the scans would be for web site marketing and filing, as I will continue to wet print. Any suggestions?

    Thank you.

Where are you located? Someone nearby may have an older Epson such as the 3200 that would be more than enough for your needs for under $100. You'd do just fine with a used scanner.

Epson's 3200, 4870, 4990. V700 & V750 would all work. You'd have to find the first three used. The V700/V750 are the current model and you can find V700 refurbs on Epson's clearance center often for just over $400.

Drew-I am in Bucks County PA. So the 3200 is a flat bed scanner?

All of these are flatbed scanners.

You might have luck with a wanted ad on this site. Someone nearby may have one that will do the bill that you can pick up for cheap. Since they're heavy, shipping can be more than the cost of the scanner, possibly much more.

I use a HP g4050 to scan my 4x5s and medium format film. However with any scanner I recommend using ViewScan.
