The Dumont lens was made for use on an oscilloscope. It will only cover 8x10 when the image size is greater than 1:1.

I have a 3" (75mm)1.9 Wollensak Oscillo-Raptar and a 3.5" (88mm) 1.4 Wollensak Oscillo-Raptar - both barely cover 6x6cm at infinity.

So this camera as it's set up would produce an image the size of a baseball in the middle of an 8X10 sheet of film?
