Liquid emulsion works on normal paper?

Does liquid emulusion work on regular sketch pad, photocopy/ink jet, and/or 200-400 gram drawing/printing paper? or will the photo chemicals and the emulsion make it too watery and ruin the paper?

the paper has to withstand wet processing. Watercolor paper is commonly used, but I think some drawing papers work, too. It seems I recall Strathmore 500 series being mentioned, but don't hold me to it.
