What is this 4x5 box camera?

Hi, Can someone tell me what make this camera is? There are no maker marks. If someone has experience of this camera, can I ask, does it ever give a sharp neg?
I am sticking 4x5 film onto a card insert to mimic a glass neg.
    Thank you,
    Roseanne

Re: What is this 4x5 box camera?

I just looked at a few of my 4x5 Box cameras. I'm leaning towards a Rochester Optical. At least the shutter release button looks like one. Rochester Optical made 4x5 Box cameras and they had round windows for viewing. They were called POCO or POCO King. Many different models were made. Sharp neg? It is a amature camera meant for contact prints. Having collected cameras for 45 years I find it hard to believe the handle or somewhere does not have a name stamped in it. Unscrew the front and look.

    hi roseanne

    i use something similar ... a sears delmar ...
it uses a simple plano convex lens
choked down to about f11 or so ...
if yours is like mine, it can take
regular film holders ... and depending
on the distance the film doesn't look too bad ...

    you can go on archive.org
    and type in boxcameras.com
that was a website of a guy who had
a huge collection of cameras ... yours
    is probably there ...

    good luck !
