    Another Member from Wisconsin!

My name is Gabriella and my first experience with large format photography occurred when I was thirteen with a Calumet view camera under the direction of Frank Ford during a photography course at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design.

Currently, I am a nineteen year old student enrolled in the photography program at the Milwaukee Area Technical College. I collect 35mm and Polaroid instant cameras. Earlier this year I was mistakenly sold a Deardorff 5x7 View (5x7OS) in poor condition and I was successfully issued a full refund as the result of an eBay buyer protection case. I am on the Large Format Photography Forum to make friends, purchase equipment, and to find another Deardorff before August. Thank you!

Sorry about your Ebay experience! There are more joys than sorrows usually in dealing.
Deardorffs can be a little tired and unloved by a previous owner.
    A hearty welcome!

Are you specifically looking for 5x7 or would 4x5 work as well?

Hello, Gabriella! The Midwest Large Format Asylum http://www.midwestlargeformat.com/ has some of our most active members in Wisconsin. You should consider joining. There are many benefits to membership!

    - No dues
    - No officers
    - no rules
    - No obligations
    - No spellchecker

But we do have a spiffy website, maintained by generous, hard working members and we "organize" outings once a month or so where we get together, admire each others' cameras, lenses, tripods and hats, tell lies about the fabulous photographs that haven't made it out of the darkroom yet (and show some of those that did!), eat breakfast, lunch and dinner and oh, yeah, expose some film! Feel free to join us some time, even if its only to ask questions, see stuff in action, and possibly be the next lucky member to catch Colleen with mis-matched shoe laces!

Did I mention that membership is free? And that we don't collect personal information (well, you do need to register with a name, but feel free to make it up. Unless you register as "Donald Trump", in which case I'm afraid that we're going to need to see your birth certificate.)

    Politically, aerodynamically, and fashionably incorrect.
