    Interpreting Ilford Paper Labels

    Can anyone tell me what the notations on the labels stand for?

    For example, I have a pack of Gallerie 2.5k. I assume the 2 stands for Grade 2 but was the .5k stand for?

    I know who makes them.

    And I just spent 10 minutes there and couldn't find my answer so...

    Have you actually seen the answer there at their website???

    Ilford Paper Surface Codes

    1M - Glossy Mid Weight
    25M - Satin Medium Weight
    44M - Pearl Medium Weight
    1K - Glossy Double Weight
    5K - Matt Double Weight
    24K - Semi-Matt Double Weight
    44K - Pearl Double Weight

    The surface codes that are applicable for each paper are mentioned in the first section of the data sheet for that paper. Also, the entire list of surface codes is on the cover of the Product Availability List. All of these are available on the website.
