Cell phone pic of print. Need to learn how to scan 8x20 prints.

Thanks guys. The moment I saw Michael Smiths 8x20 camera in the field, I knew I wanted to work with one.

You ought to see Michael's 8x20s in person.

And you did, with wonderful results! As Chauncey suggests, I bet the real deal is spectacular.

I actually became familiar with the format when Michael and Paula dropped by twenty years ago and showed their work. Nice to hear that Michael inspired you.

The marvel of the 8x20 camera of Michael's was only surpassed by the horror on my face when I realized on that the rare Deardorff, Michael had pounded a series of carpet tacks into the base of the rear standard to hold a strip of fabric inhibiting light from coming up into his viewing area. Michael laughed and said "my cameras are working cameras". Michael and Paula stayed with me a number of times when they came to Denver. It was a pleasure and an honor to get to know them. Inspiration comes in many forms. Thankfully, this was one of them.
