I would bet you'd need a permit from the FAA to use that in some places.

    Good Gawd-a-mitey!!!

Jerold: I like this one so much that I pasted the URL into an email message and sent it to myself... to remind me what to buy when I hit the megamillion jackpot!!!

    Thanks for a great link.

I did these photos from a deer hunter's 16 foot tripod stand... unfortunately lost after a divorce.

Link to Cabellas with a photo:

I even drilled and tapped a hole to mount a tripod head.

Camera: old beast of a Burke and James 4x5 monorail.

And plenty of room in the wilderness for target practice with the 45 casull Mag while waiting for the light.

Those look great, and not that expensive. Is it quick to setup?

Actually I do have access to a cherry picker (smaller than this one) from a vineyard manager client. I need to set up the usage way in advance, though, with a driver and everything. Ideally, we'd have something available for the impulse situations as we drive down the road.

I've been looking at orchard ladders and i'm thinking itmmight be the way to go. They're about $300 for a 10ft model new and much cheaper used. Only about 25lbs too and completely justafiable to my wife since it could be a purchase for "work" around the house. I'm also considering making on from an aliminum stepladder but the treads isn't nearly as wide as a real orchard ladder.

I just lost a distant cousin (the kind you don't really know) to a deer stand incident. And while you can chalk it up to "user error" the fact remains that falls from deer stands killed two locals and put several more in the hospital. Seems pretty stupid but functional adults still find stupid ways to die... don't get impaled on your CF Gitzo!

Cool car (what is the MPG of this monster ?), but unsuitable for the purpose intended. The roof is nearly completely covered with solar panels
