I've been shooting 6x17 for years after I made a semi-split negative camera (split 5x7 film into two 6x17's).
Later I modified a 6x17 Fotoman to 6x15 format so I had more options for landscape photography where 6x17 was too wide to concisely compose a subject.
Read Rudolf Arnhem's book "The Power of The Center".
