I really like this image!!! I would love to see the trunk hide the white dead stump just to the left. But if you moved to the right the lower left branch would most likely merge with the mountain. Next time, pack an axe. Ha!
Although it would be nicer without that trunk, I don't find it to be that much of a distraction. I would gladly put this image on my wall...
Thank you very much. I'm pretty sure the previous poster was only joking about the axe, at least that's how I took it. With the exception of removing trash and other unnatural debris, I don't "harvest" the scene (or as some call it, "farming") to remove unwanted natural objects...it is what it is.
Saquaro National Park-West as sun was beginning to set. Took this while scouting locations shortly after arriving. I don't know about the image...I seem to remember it looking better on the ground glass at the time. Shen Hao 6x17, Nikkor 210 or 300 (can't remember), Portra 400. I really like the soft pastel colors of Portra 400 for SW desert images.
