I am so amazed at this shot. You have done an outstanding job! I am still trying to figure out the background look. It looks like a rear curtain sync (shutter) shot but I know that's not possible since a) you didn't use a flash and b) she is so well focused (a shutter opened long enough to blur the background increases the chances of the foreground being blurred before the flash goes off). Can you share any thoughts or insight on this? Is it only the wide aperture?

There is no flash at all, You can't use flash with speed graphic focal plane shutter. It was shot at f2.5 (or maybe I stopped it down hałs a stop not more)

Actually you can - either manually or some of models had in fact curtain sync device or some laters models had output with two prongs to hook up to flash.

However this is great shot without it

Not to hijack the discussion of this absolutely lovely shot, but my Graflex RB has (AFAIK) the same basic curtain shutter and has a bipost connector for the flash. A simple bipost to pc connector cord lets me hook it up to the studio strobes.
