I hope my minor criticism is not taken the wrong way, but in the spirit in which it is meant.
FWIW, Jim, my "vision", as crappy as it is, is tending toward minimalism of late. More out of being stuck in the house, I'm sure. As for the still lifes and blank backgrounds, the ones I've been shooting/posting have been, to me, all about texture. So, in order to focus on that, I tried to get rid of background context.

Again, all that's just my angle on it.

I've been trying some macro work with the 4x5 lately. Figure shown is less than 1/8" tall.

    Taken with a wee little 55mm repro-claron @ f/8.

    Kowa 8z 2x anamorphic & Rodenstock Geronar 210mm f6.8 @ f11 / 4x5 adox ortho 25 @ 12iso & a49 1+3

my first test using anamorphic lens on 4x5, negative is messy.. i really messed up the developing this time. fixer ended up on my kitchen floor and negs were flying loose on my jobo tube

i'm thinking i might try this in 8x10 also, if my plan works out, kinda like a poor mans 8x20"

    Monkeymon,

How does that anamorphic Kowa work with the Geronar? Screw-on attachment?

Yeah, I made and adapter for it that has 55mm threads, then just got a step down adapter for the geronar. Kowa actually has something like a 49.5mm thread, but good luck finding something that fits that, so i just made and an adapter. Geronar has 49mm threads, so it's just the right lens for it.. anything smaller/dimmer would also do. Thought there might be some vignetting on infinity, haven't tried it.. maybe 250mm lens would have the right field of view for it.

Lovely B/W stuff folks..here's some colour to balance things up a bit. All shot in camera, the glass was 'bent' using movements.
