    Great images everyone...

I thought I would introduce a recent scenic image.

Two great friends of mine. An F-18 Captain, and a ballerina, where these two young ladies have known each other since public school.

JIm, that's a bit different for you. Very nice subject matter though. F-18 Captain as in fighter pilot? Holy cow!

I don't understand why you had to dress two talented, intelligent women up like tarts to photograph them. Can't women be beautiful, sexy, interesting, and photogenic without the uncomfortable lingerie? Frank and others do this kind of stuff all the time, and I just skim past it and ignore it as much as possible. I'm surprised to see it from someone whose work, usually, I enjoy immensely, study, and return to repeatedly.

    Re: October portraits

My hunch is that they decided to tart themselves up -- those are not silly teenagers but adults who made a conscious decision to present themselves like that. They understand photography and probably worked with Jim because he's an excellent photographer.

As for their motives or intent, I have no clue. I suspect that it has something to do with showing off while they can be considered "hot" and they probably relish the shocked reactions they get from their friends and family.

Or who knows, we can let our imaginations run wild and maybe it truly was a sordid round of debauchery and decadence? But it almost seems to be mocking us for imagining that, which is the rationale for a lot of women who pose "that way". It's sort of a post-modern feminism, where they play "gotcha" with all the men who are thinking they are whores based on a photo, exposing the men as the ones who are the sexual deviants for thinking such lurid thoughts.

(Oh and I never ever shot lingerie, you must be closing your eyes as you're blowing past!)
