    lenses and lensboards

Can I swap a lens from one lensboard to another? Is there anything to know or to look for when doing this? Like putting a 75mm from a linhof board to a Cambo?

    Re: lenses and lensboards

If it's a regular shuttered or barrel lens, there should be no problems....

Loosen the retaining ring from the rear - sometimes you may have to remove (unscrew) the rear element first, depending on type of lens....sometimes the rear lens is larger than the mount....

Also, some lenses have a pin that orients the shutter to the board from the front - so don't turn the shutter unless you know the pin is not there...

    Thanks,
    Dan

    Sergio,

Depending on the camera, you may have to go from a flat board to a recessed board for short lenses (under 90mm) to focus to infinity. This is also to allow more bellows flexibility to enable movements that you might need.
