Yes. People buy camera bags more expensive than this. A heavy brass, wonderfully engraved, adjustable diffusion lens from one of the great American makers, that you may see one or two for sale a year is worth a lot more. A better question is why is a Dallmeyer 3B that you see 50 times a year worth $2,000?

I don't find much about this type of lens.

What I do know is, lately people come in here and DEMAND answers to their questions and ask other people to figure things out for them.

This is not a school, it is a very loose collection of individuals that choose to write notes to each other. Sometimes we send each other pictures. Most people simply lurk.

I for one, never respond to demands, I gave that up when I retired.
