    Re: July Portraits

I used to be on Model Mayhem but now it is mostly word of mouth, there are less than a dozen models I really care to shoot with, they're my friends. Most traditional models run away in horror....

Speaking of running away in horror, here is me with my head shaved. My wife helped me do this self-portrait yesterday. 8x10 collodion on aluminum.

Thanks for the good wishes. Getting better every day...

This was not taken with a large format camera, but I'm sure you'll forgive me

Is that a Blackjacket focusing cloth she's wearing??? Was it used to focus the next shot?

    Re: July Portraits

Here is a portrait of my son that I shot on green sensitive x-ray film developed in Pyro and printed as a carbon transfer. Tough to scan and show the soft relief effect and clean tones. Shot with my 18" Darlot stopped down just a bit.
