    Wista lens board

I'm a newbie who recently purchased a Wista 45 SP with what I was told is a #1 Copal lens board. From a different source, I purchased a lens with a Copal #1 shutter. Upon mounting the lens to the board, I noticed there was an awful lot of room left over in the board hole. In fact, the board hole is 42mm and the diameter of the lens is 37mm. Are these a correct match? I expected them to fit snuggly.
    Thank you, C.

The retaining ring that holds the lens to the board should have a lip that fits down into the hole and helps to snug the lens to the board. If you have the ring on backwards or the threads on the back of the shutter aren't quite centered, it will have some play.
