Hi, I recently bought a PA45 holder. I thought it would be compatible, apparently it does not fit in my DD 4x5 back. Any remedy for this?
Thank you.

I did the same thing, (bangs head on keyboard).
I'll be selling mine soon.
I just purchased a K.M.V. with a 4x5 reducing back.
so I won't be able to use my pa-45 on it either?

Spring backs may not work. Usually gotta be a graflock style back to accept the thickness of the holder. Also likely much cheaper to buy a used graflock back and mount it to a blank that fits your camera.
you can buy a new shen hao graflock back for about $150 from badger graphic.
for a test- if you can fit two film holders in your camera then the pa45 will fit.
Deardorff made 4x5 backs with extra long springs and a rabbeted bit for Polaroid backs. Do these work?
I know this doesn't directly answer your question but I had Richard Ritter graft a Sinar back onto one of my Deardorff backs. Now I can use any back that is graflock compatible (Horseman 6x7, 6x9, 6x12, Polaroid 550 and 405, etc.) and it uses all the neat Sinar accessories. I don't recall how much it cost but I now have a multi-format view camera; 5x7, 4x5, 6x12, 6x9, 6x7 and, if I wanted to get really nuts, a medium format digital back.
