Hi Daniel,
I respond to your question some days ago.
You asked me if the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf is open for foreign students.
And I said I will ask some students to get more info.
See here:

Well I thought it would be better to continue with that question here at "Resources"
and make it a little bit more general.
I asked two students at the Kunstakademie, how they made it to begin study there.
The two said unisonous that the only way is to deliver a portfolio of artworks.
That can be drawings, paintings (without any frame), photos and other two-
dimensional works.
There are some general rules about packaging, format, number of works
deadline etc., the portfolio can also be sent with parcel service.
A commission of profs is looking at all the portfolios, it was spoken of about
five thousand maps the last time, and then they make their choice.
The other point is, and I'm very sorry about that, the Kunstakademie decided
newly that foreign students have to absolve a language test.
I can't understand that, because there were a lot of students from many different countries and it worked for so many years.
On the homepage are some pdf's with all the information needed:
http://www.kunstakademie-duesseldorf.de/studium.html
It is not possible for me to translate allthat stuff,
because I'm only a plain trucker
Does anybody have more information?
And how is it on other artschools?
Would be very interessting to hear.
