It's got some strange scratches in the scan's upper left. Makes it more interesting. Could be just a bad scan because it's overexposed and the scanner doesn't like that. It's a nice shape I might go back for more with a soft focus sometime. 4x5 tmy2 in pyrocat hd. yellow filter. speed graphic and 203 optar.
Thanks Bob. You know, I hadn't even considered that. It's a force of habit I guess, to pull back from the edge and retain some tone. I'll experiment and see what I think of it.
But what about my tires? I like the tires! Seriously, that's another possibility I hadn't thought of. Sometimes I find that the quality of large format can almost be a problem with this sort of thing; one can crop so dramatically that the potential versons can seem infinite.

Now that is a dizzying array of vertical lines. Sometimes I get banding like that in the shadow areas of my transparency scans.

Great stuff, Austin; made my eyes hurt, but in a good way
Thanks all. I'm kind of kicking myself now though; as I was setting up a couple of employees came out for a cigarette break. I should have asked them to pose for me, but at the time I was too busy trying to cram my head between the ground glass and the wall of the building next door. Oh well, another imaginary picture for the "should of" pile.
