    Canvas recommendations?

I am looking to print B&W images (from large format negs) on canvas (with a 9880), and am looking for something archival that has less texture... more like paper/i.e. not the cheezy "I made a photo painting!" look. Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

I like Breathing Color canvas. It's not too textured and shows a lot of detail. They have a new Lyve canvas that is slightly better than the Chromata White in terms of color gamut though it's a tad more expensive.

You'll probably want to coat it with their Glamour II varnish, but it does take a bit of practice to get it right.

Hahnemuhle Canvas is supposed to be very good also as is Fredrick's 777 but I haven't tried those myself.

Yes, the Fredricks has a fine weave, but I like Frog Juice for a coating.

I've made several prints on the Fredrix 777 canvas and it is very smooth and had a high white point and a large gamut. It's noticeably sharper than the glossy canvas I was using previously. More accurately, the canvas seems sharper because of the reduced glare and fine weave.
