    I finally have a website

    Dear All,

I've got my website up and running.

    www.bskumarphotography.com

I hope some of you will take the time to take a look and let me know what you think, particularly with regard to page loading times, text readability and overall design.
I used the free version of SimpleViewer. If the format works well, I'll get the Pro version to get rid of the link.

    Thanks,
    Kumar

Kumar, very well done. I like the flash, the simplicity, the layout, and the colors. Only one suggestion is to place the home page photo further toward the end of the architecture gallery rather than have it as the lead image in the gallery.

Elegant design Kumar. However, unless I was missing some enlargement function, the images came up quite small on my screen (about 6x4.5cm).

Simple, clean design. It took a while for some of it to load for me (dsl connection). The images are too small as toyon mentioned. Can you make the arrow appear next to the image and not on top of?

Re: I finally have a website

    Thanks, all.

A few of the images need to be reduced in size, which I will do over the weekend.

Toyon and Vinny, I need to activate the link to larger images that can be opened with a right-click. I wanted my design to fit onto the smaller laptop and notebook computer screens that most people use nowadays even in offices.

The free version of SimpleViewer does not allow modifying the position of the arrows. The Pro version does, but also needs Adobe Flash to edit the settings. I'm in a bit of a quandary, actually. I like its simplicity, but I don't have any particular need for Flash. I'm wondering if anyone knows of any other program that can be used to edit the swf files that SimpleViewer generates.

Charles, the home page photo, which is also the lead photo in the architecture gallery is of a house designed by an eminent Indian architect, whose work I greatly admire. He is also a good friend. It's a very small homage to him.

    Thanks,
    Kumar

    Jim and Stefano,

Thank you for the kind words. "Elegance" is a constant goal.

    Great Job!

I am viewing on 1280x1024 22in and the images are a perfect size, I would image someone viewing with 800x600 will see quite larger images.
