Any suggestions for a source of replacement knobs for a Calumet C-1? Actually I'd prefer aluminum or other metal as opposed to the prone-to-break plastic ones.

Try McMaster-Carr. They have a large selection of knobs / handles. Actually, they have a good selection of many things industrial / mechanical.
