Fascinating! The water surface has an almost tangible texture; I imagine it must feel like cobwebs or silk!
Dave, A very interesting and engaging shot. It makes me try and visualize the movements of the water (brings me there in a sense). Effective!

Not sure if Maris' b/w image was a reply to baro-nite's, but each image makes the other even better by contrast.
My personal reaction: Soft curves w/ life and movement vs. Sharp lines w/ barrenness and stillness.

Thanks guys: experimental for sure, but I think I like the result on this one. At full size the water texture in the highlights really is extraordinary.
