Things to do in San Antonio

Well, in and around. Within an hour and a half of driving there are the following wonderful places, all are wonderful photo spots. Sorry if its long winded, and like a traveloge, but I like this area, its got lots of places to photograph.
The Sacred Shrine of Texas Liberty, plus the Riverwalk, Hall of Horns, etc downtown, very camera friendly just as long as you are not photographing professionally for profit, then you need a permit.

The San Antonio Missions (Espada, San Juan, San Jose, Concepcion):

The USS Texas, a little further away, but worth the trip to Houston.

Guadalupe River State Park, some of the best tubing without the crowds,

Enchanted Rock, made it to the top, got accused of sucking all the oxygen from the atmosphere. I am not is as good a shape as I was 20 years ago.

No John - Tex Mex food! BTW the County Court Houses are splendid photographic subjects that really should be done in LF. Go after the old trucks sitting around in the marginal ranches scattered about the hill country. Ask permission or you might be shot.

Gruene, Texas. Gruene Hall. Guadalupe River running through Gruene. Old churches throughout the state, especially the painted churches. Shiner beer. Shiner beer Brewery. Tex-Mex food. Longview Ballon Festival. Countless small towns that haven't been ruined by progress. The Panhandle.

OPPS! Kind of got off topic. No worries. If you drive to San Antonio, you can hit some of the other features in Texas.

    Come on down, Y'all!
