Here is a new portrait made last weekend. It is titled " waiting" and is an 8x10 Platinum Palladium print.

    Thanks,

    Re: Jan. portraits

Some practicing, I have gotten in to 8x10 and heres two of them.

The outdoor one is 4x5. All of them has some serious flaws still.. but i'm working on it. 8x10 are scanned from contact prints, and the last one was printed on matte paper.. so it's a bit darker than intended (eyes).

    Well enough with the excuses...

    Love this shot!

Havnt made up my mind if the bloke in the background distracts or adds to the picture.... but as I said, love this shot!

This is just a lovely shot.
I for one, really like the relaxed face (or part of face that we can see) and think that it works very well here with the blindfold and the unseen, yet imagined bound hands.

    Re: Jan. portraits

Been a very busy autumn and a crazy December with the run up to xmas in my little studio, so not much time for posting on forums, or indulging in large format.... but finally in dark and quiet January have I got time to post a shot here: This was taken back in august last year, but has been sitting in the film holder until yesterday when I finally had time to get away from the digital work and get into the darkroom.

    T.max 100 in Rodinal 1+50 for 7 and a half minutes at 20 degrees C in a rotary tank

Taken with my Crown Graphic with the 203mm kodak f7.7, wide open, if I remember correctly...

    Regards, Nathan

Wow nice portrait. Goes to show that a Crown and inexpensive but good Ektar are still great tools. You focused on the ground glass I take it?
