Two shots of ice, taken with a Kodak #2 5x7 and 8-1/4" Verito. Second one cropped slightly.

    Having fun...always loved this image.
From December 1987, eastern Oregon near Summer Lake. This was taken right outside my VW campervan door when I got up in the morning...the temp was in the low 20s.
There was not a stick of firewood anywhere -- except for the post the sign was on.

It made a beautiful 16x20 silver gelatin print -- the tonality the Type55 negative gives matched the scene (and Ilford Gallery, grade 3) wonderfully. There was a long streak in the sky due to a roller -- took much time to spot out.

I "developed" the film back at home, as was my habit with Type55 Polaroid. Of course it necessary due to the cold, but I usually waited anyway. I was more interested in the film/negative than the 'instant' part of Polaroids.

Hopefully some BLM or FS employee was enjoying the irony as they posted the sign!

I still need to figure out the best way to post images -- it's only been 15 years since I posted my first image here.

Thank you, Ben. It is a pleasant surprise to find these trees inside a city!
