Yes I am in love with 1:2.5. I am definitely moving more towards contact printing everything. 4x10 with a window mat to about 10 x 15 inches might look perfect for these.

8x10 enlarger is on the back-burner due to some design issues...but perhaps enlargements in the future too.

I like how the sky colors are reflected off the water and snow/ice. Very nice and will done.

    Re: Large Format Landscapes

A few of us North GA LF Photographers met up today up in the Chattahoochee National Forest, at one of the most popular hiking spots. After we got done photographing some waterfalls, we said our goodbyes and headed home. While the others went south, I detoured north around the ridge to see the sunset, but was pleasantly surprised to find a wonderful wall of ice up near the top of the mountain that hadn't melted away despite being over 40 degrees all day (the sun didn't hit that side of the mountain). It was going fast though, with the drip-drip-drip of melting ice constantly echoing along the wall (in fact, a huge chunk broke off and crashed into the ground a few dozen feet away while I set this photograph up).

Anyway, here's the first shot I made. I like the forms and contrast against the dark rock wall.

    Linhof Master Technika, 150mm f/9 G-Claron, Agfa APX 100 developed in HC-110 dil. H for 15 minutes (N+2):

I found this extra box of APX in my freezer recently. This was a good film! I don't remember where I got this.

Bryan...fantastic! You've inspired me to get off my butt...and out of the darkroom - and go look for some ice, which we have plenty of up here in Vermont! And oh, yes...that APX could be really nice!

Thanks John! I am sure you have a lot more ice around where you are than here .

One more from yesterday, on the Raven Cliffs Falls Trail:

I wouldn't mind having that hanging on my living room wall!
