Kansasjhawk, that waterfall is possibly the best looking waterfall I've ever seen, did you go to the other main viewpoint? You would probably need a longer focal length for the other position, I used 24mm on a 35mm camera from your position and 50mm from the other position; both are stunning view points.

To get to that waterfall and with a LF camera, I would surmise you had more than the usual 5 day Icelandic tour? We had a couple of months with a hired 4x4 automobile, totally stunning landscape, but the wind is something else, eh?

    Mick.

Yeah I was there for 2 weeks in total with a 4x4 with a roof tent......so more photos to come. Just got done developing some more. I'm guessing I was just at the main viewpoint. Best thing about Aldeyjarfoss is that not a lot of people go there since it's off the beaten path a bit. Wishing it hadn't rained the night before so I would've had the nice blue water. The wind and just the weather in general is so unpredictable. Glad I got a nice day for this one.

That is a pretty impressive debut there, _tf_. I've never been to Scotland, but from what I've seen if you're up to the challenges of the climate it's a rewarding place to work.
    Where are we going?
And why are we in this handbasket?

I took this with my 4x5 in the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming last summer. It was one of the most memorable hikes of my life, and hope to return some day soon. Printed on 8x10 Ilford fiber glossy.

Also, how do I get my image to appear larger here?
