Very nicely seen! Normally one does not place the horizon across the center, but it works so well here. Probably because Oz has so much sky. I appreciate how you have rendered the sky -- it does not over-power the landscape and gives a great sense of distance. But perhaps I like it the most because as I get older, I appreciate just sitting and staring out into the type of distance you have given us here.

I agree with Renato, the first one is my preference.

I enjoy the water texture, and the enclosed feeling. The second one seems torn /ambivalent between foreground and the waterfall. I Imagine the image you were thinking of with the second one is just a little farther down and left =)

Don, those are really nice. I like the first one better, too. Are they from film scans or print scans?

Moon rising over Mount Yonah. Went to climb Yonah a few days ago but only made it halfway up before it was getting late and so turned back. Will go to the summit another day, and also seems like a great place for stars, so need to do that as well.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I agree that the first is the stronger of the two.

    John- They are film scans.

Nice Bryan, Is it me or does the moon tend to look better on film? More likely other's are just better at capturing it =)

I think it's easy to blow out the highlights in the moon on digital, depending on time of day and situation, whereas on film you can retain it a bit better, usually. Thanks!
