Ektar seems to cause a lot of troubles to the scanners' software.
Many people ended up with scanning negatives as positives (orange) and then making conversion(including inversion) in PS.
I equally like the rendering from Ektar and all the Portras, each for its own qualities.
All films that I have tried gave me the best results when exposed at box speed.
As experiments I many times over-exposed Ektar for up to 3 stops and developed per normal timings. Got very usable scans from it. Also underexposed by 2 stops (meter was set to ISO 400), developed +2 and also got good printable images from that roll. On underexposed ones I had to deal with heavy Magenta cast indeed.

    Thanks,

And yes, I scan all my color negatives as raw and then use the ColorPerfect plugin in Photoshop to invert.
Would love to try Negative Lab Pro but it's only available for Lightroom and I'm using a Capture One based workflow, so it's not an option at the moment.

Ektar is not a bad film I guess. Seen other getting great results, but for me it was a uphill struggle.

First tries with Portra400 after giving up on Ektar100.
No, I never became friend with Ektar. Didn't like the magenta cast and blue shadows, and the need to nail the exposure almost like slide film. Sort of wanted to like it but never did.

This is something very different, much more to my taste and more workable. Feels really good.
    Impressive!

Quite a colorful scene with wide light values.

Looks like the Portra-400 did an admirable job, retaining rich color and preserving many shadow details, too.

I wasn't familiar with your camera and did some reading about the maker and his cameras today. Interesting fellow. Are there still many in Sweden?

Yes, interesting fellow. And he only ever did around 1500 cameras. Mine is serial number 1420 so it's one of the last. Early 60's one could guess.
Very well constructed, fairly light and with a few nice features as a slidable bottom plate for balancing the camera on a tripod and double fall/rise on the front standard.
Had a new bellow made by Customs Bellows and now it works perfectly, given its age.

They pop up now and then (a few times a year perhaps), mostly the 4x5 and then the odd 5x7 and more seldom the 8x10.
A well preserved 8x10 would be nice to have.
