Three tires were floating around in the water. I was checking out the site from the roadside and someone rolled up on me and got out of the car. Turned out it he was the owner of the quarry and let me in the next day. My Lucky day. Unfortunately people see this as a dumping site -- though the tires looked cooly abstracted in the water close-up.

Just checked my notes again, No filter.
That squiggly line is farther off in the distance than it looks, a pattern of discoloration in the sand.
I approached from behind the camera position. As I recall, I did not have to walk more than 10-15 minutes. That was nice because it's difficult to walk on dunes and more difficult to photograph - especially when there's a good amount of wind.
I know just enough to be dangerous !
