I have not been able to go out for months. Quite a dry spell. Anyway, I just replaced the 12 year old Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 lens with the latest Nikkor 24-70mm f2.8 VR lens. I had to test it out! Most of these were using VR, at 1/30 seconds or slower, handheld. I think this lens works well with my Nikon D800! I might just get out more often......

I still need to test my new to me 5x7 inch view as well.....

    Really like the first one!

I could not remember the tree name 'Magnolia' of which I have a far different version. Not so pretty...

I am new to Magnolia's, and very bad at names of everyone and everything.

Please pass that thingamajig, no the other one...

    Thanks Randy!

The magnolias do look nice, especially when they are in bloom. But, most people would not want them in their yards. It is a constant battle with the falling leaves! It lasts all year long, and they are quite stiff. The seed pods are another problem. They will dull a mower blade in no time...

Old service station in Decatur, TX that was built in 1927. Alternate black and white view posted in the 6x17 thread. Taken with Sony A7R2 and Voigtlander 40/2

    Wow, Ken. Great texture!

Initially this image did not open om my iPhone, most images do. My emoji was an attempt to reply in kind.

I apologize if that was misinterpreted.

I saw only darkness similar to the bottom left.

Now on desktop I see it all.

    Excellent!

Some images from Savannah, GA, and surrounding area. All with my Widelux F7 on Kodak XX film dev'd in HC-110:

    Leopold's Ice Cream Shop

    St. John's Cathedral

    Fort Pulaski Cannon

    Shaking Rock Trail, Lexington GA

I couldn't help but bring a small 35mm rangefinder along with me this trip but really the Widelux is so nice for travel. I gotta let go of the versatility of my "normal" 35mm RF and just go out with the Widelux around my neck and a pocketful of XX or whatever next time. But I sometimes feel limited with the 1/15 shutter speed being the slowest it can go. All of these were at that except the Fort, handheld. The first two were at f/2.8 even. I should buy more Kodak TMZ...
