    Thanks for the comments. It was a very cool tree in a very cool place. It's in southern Utah just outside the maze. Area called the block. This particular part was on a bridge between two mesas.

    Sergei as I recall you are in Dallas? Is this east Texas? Maybe Caddo Lake. I still haven't been there but have wanted to for years. I just keep forgetting...

    yup, its around Caddo Lake. Its good place to go, as long as weather cooperates, and not too many people around
