Hi Luc. I noticed you are developing with TMax at 1:9. Is there a reason you use this dilution over 1:4? I notice your skies are very nice. I still struggle with TMax to get the skies to not be 100% white without either using Pyrocat or a serious N- development. Just wondering.

According to what I read, Tmax at 1+9 is diluted enough to have a slight compensating effect and keep the highlight in check. It also increases slightly accutance just like Pyrocat does. Note that I use 17 minutes at 20c, one minute agitation then 10s every minute or so.
I use Pyrocat with Ilford film and Across. I just could not get Pyrocat to work for me with TMY-2.

    Cheers,

    Luc

Thanks for the info, that's what I was wondering. I tried 1+9 once and didn't notice much difference but I don't think I was looking for a compensating effect, just acuity. I will try again next time.

    Nice Frank.

I'm still dreaming of last year's Fall Classic.

Sam, enough with the gratuitous babe shots.... We really need to work on larger issues, like raising environmental awareness about our water supply.

Very nice, Frank. The colors certainly stand out.

Hope the rope doesn't break... would hate to lose Nettie.
