It was a very damp weekend, but never seeing the tops of the mountains actually added a lot of atmosphere. Still, I'm hoping for better weather when I go back in a few weeks.

I have been playing with Qualls' monobath, and find it works with no problems on 4x5 in a tray, but yesterday I used it for the first time in 35mm. Almost every frame had drag marks next to each sprocket hole. I decided to ignore the advice on the New55 site about no agitation, and put another roll of Plus-X into a Rondinax, so that it would have continuous rotation.
This was the best of yesterday's film, with barely visible drag marks:

This is today's, done in the Rondinax:

The image needs the massive rock on the left, so first for me. Powerful image. Banding in the sky,or my monitor?

Pretty full moon and sky last night. I went out with the D600 and Sigma 50 hsm. (poor man version of the art lens). Daughter is not actually swallowing the moon here as Jewel sings about. She is swallowing a bokeh rendering of an out of focus moon. The moon isn't that big with a 50mm lens.

I think he may have been commenting on my image of the reservoir falls, post # 9874.
I had asked for opinions regarding the image. The 2nd example showed a more tightly cropped version removing part of the rock wall on the left.
