I haven't seen too much soft focus lately, let's get this rectified.
8x10 paper negative testing out one of my Taylor Taylor Hobson Rapid View lenses wide open (the other might be for sale soon). Pic of it here. The RVP was so popular with pictorialists that Cooke was asked to reissue the lens in the early 20th century, as the Cooke Achromatic Portrait.

Bunch of new stuff this weekend with a 6" f2.4 Gundy Petzval that has my juices flowin.
I'm kind of hyped on this lens that might be a Petzval, but might not be, or maybe has reversed elements, or maybe just a reversed putzval photographer operating it, but anyway f.l.<6", aperture somewhere around f/6, Kodak E100VS, Graflex RB Super D 3x4 converted to a 4x5 back, at times acts a lot like a large format Diana with this lens of unknown origin.
