Tell me that you could have taken a full step forward and avoided the tree branches in the upper portion of the image because it is something that my eye goes to that it need not do so. A quality image. Don't unnecessarily diminish the end result. Just my $0.02.

He is already running out of coverage ( movements). Moving the camera position forward would make the distortion even more pronounced. To preserve the correct perspective the camera would need to be moved back or a different lens (with much more coverage) used.

Understand. A different lens with adequate coverage would be of great benefit but at times it is not available.

    Thanks Martin.

The tower narrows slightly towards the top, so it could be that. Or I didn’t get it straight.

Martin -- At first I thought the tower tilted to our right. Perhaps it seems that way because the ground beneath it definitely tilts. However, when I copied the photo to Photoshop Elements and superposed a grid, the right edge of the tower is perfectly vertical and the left edge tilts a minute fraction of a degree to the left! This could happen if the camera was pointed up and it's front and back were tilted to correct for that. There might be very slightly excessive correction. Very, very slight, though. FishyFishArcade, forgive me for obsessive nit-picking. It is a quite good photo!

Thanks Jim. I tweaked the rotation very slightly in Photoshop (0.3° I think it was), but I didn't use any guides, just did it by eye, so it's probably just my innacuracy that's crept in.
