Bosham Church by Toby Key, on Flickr

I took this at sunset. When I arrived the light was amazing but when I set up my camera I cast the longest shadow I have ever seen, it must have been 100ft long. I would have moved back but there is a massive tree just to my left so I couldn't get a decent composition with my 4x5. In the end the sun went in enough to take this shot. The fun of being a photographer! The church itself is the oldest place of worship in West Sussex and is featured in a panel of the Bayeux tapestry. The lower parts of the existing church are Saxon with parts of the tower and spire added later.
