dON'T KNOW IF THIS HELPS, BUT..........
I measured the hole in my Copal 0 lens board. 35mm or 1 3/8". I measured the threads on my 1953 Supermatic (X) shutter which holds my 127mm Ektar lens cells. 1 5/16" or less than the size of the hole in the lensboard. Like you, I need a tool to remove the retaining ring so I can use the 127mm Ektar and a 160+ R.R. (the cells fit perfectly in the Supermatic (X) shutter) on my Zone VI camera. Good luck!

The shutter originally used by Kodak for the 203mm Ektar (as well as the 127mm Ektar and the 100mm Ektar on the Medalist) was a #1 Supermatic or Flash Supermatic. These mounted in a 1.5 inch (38.5mm) hole, though the Medalist mount was much more complicated. Later Ektars were mounted in Graphic(R) Synchro Compurs, but I have not found Kodak documentation for these mountings.
There is complete information about shutter mounting for Ektars from about 1940-1960 in the pages I have reproduced from the Kodak Data Books/Handbooks:
http://www.prairienet.org/b-wallen/B...ktarsIndex.htm
Whether a 203mm (Supermatic/Flash Supermatic 2) will fit in a #0 lens board depends on whether you are mounting it as Kodak originally recommended, with the shoulder of the retaining ring turned in toward the back of the lens board or whether you are mounting it with the flat side of the ring facing the lens board, as Graflex did for the Pacemaker Graphics. The 203mm Ektar is a very old design that originated in the 1930s and has been mounted in Supermatics, Flash Supermatics and Compurs as well as mounted on several different cameras. Mountings and retaining rings changed over a period of more than 30 years. Lens boards have changed and are still changing. Not all lens boards advertised as #0 have holes that are exactly the same size, particularly aftermarket boards produced in small lots. For more information on mounting Kodak lenses on view cameras:

Kodak, when they manufactured consumer and professional lenses, had very good quality control and this extended to their documentation. They occasionally offered variations on lenses and shutters that did not appear in the Kodak Handbooks and Data Books. Part of the fun of developing a Kodak site is finding the Kodak Ektar Anomalies:
http://www.prairienet.org/b-wallen/B...Anomolies1.htm
Just not to make things more and more complicated with "anomalies" - my Ektar 203mm with its original retaining ring can be mounted on a #0 lens board in one way only -the flat side of the ring facing the lens board. The other way - with the shoulder facing the board is for mounting it to a #1 hole lens board. The shoulder has a 37mm diameter, thick 2mm.
There is no joy in Mudville. My Kodak Supermatic (X) shutter returned from Carol Miller yesterday. I was eager to mount it on a Zone VI lens board with what is supposed to be a hole for a Copal #0 shutter. Close. No cigar. The threads on the shutter are a silly half mm too big. Or the hole is a silly half mm too small. I'm going to try to enlarge the hole a bit with some sandpaper. Stay tuned.

I wrapped some sandpaper around the handle of a wooden spoon. A couple trips around the hole and Bob's your uncle! The 1953 Supermatic (X) shutter slipped right in. Now I can use my 1953 127mm Extar and my 1913 150 something mm Bausch & Lomb Rapid Rectilinear on the Zone VI. One shutter, 4 cells, two working lenses. The infinite adaptability of low tech view cameras continues to amaze me.
BTW, the B&L R.R. has GOBS! (proper technical term, right?) of coverage for 4x5.
I am really having fun again.

I recently acquired a f/7.7 203mm Ektar on a modified Pacemaker board with flange installed. I'm not 100% happy with how it's mounted.
The lens is in a "Kodak" "Flash Supermatic" shutter or #1 apparently (though I've seen others say #2), and did not come with a retaining ring as the flange is doing the retaining more or less. There are no threads available with the shutter mounted this way for a ring to screw down on.
I'm considering mounting this shutter/lens on a new Pacemaker board but need a retaining ring.
Does anyone know which one I need?
I've seen 33mm slip-on adapter ring mentioned but think this is for mounting filters or accessories?
It looks like the original flange / ring was glued and screwed into a Pacemaker board, fixed at back with 3 small nuts.
I don't see any marking on it but maybe I could try to measure it. It's pretty beat up and has glue on it which is why I'm looking for a replacement.
Thanks for any help!
