I'm getting into 5"x12", and am looking for lenses that will cover the format. Any reasonably priced gems out there? In shutter would be preferred, but I can deal with barrel lenses if needed. Modest movements would of course be nice.
I am looking for something wide, and also something standardish (maybe a G-Claron 305mm?).
Any suggestions?

Nikor m 300 mm will cover nicely with movements, tiny lens very sharp, and available.
Anything that covers 8x10 should do. The 305 would be a good choice. I have a 240mm symmar-s for sale if you're interested in that length.

You'd be hard pressed to find a more perfect lens for the format than this oneVinny's right of course, anything that will cover 8X10 would serve you well.

Anyone have recommendations on the wide angle side of things? Something around a 150mm maybe?

Wide angle? Well, I have been using a 7 in. Goerz Dagor Series III, No. 2 with success on this format.
Lots of great suggestions here everyone. Thanks for the info - I can't wait to start shooting in 5x12.
