    I made my first tintype!

I just took Will Dunniway's wet plate workshop and finally got to make my own, original wet plate tintype. Now, time to sink even more money into photography...

Also, the class was great and Will is a very good teacher and host.

You mean you have time to let money build up in bank accounts?

Here's one that I have my eye one, a 5x7 stereo camera.

well, try and let the accounts build. Its amazing what someone will pay for a print...

Speaking of, I ended up with one of the funky 8x15 wooden folders from India and am now scrounging about for a lens to cover (nothing too modern mind you but dosen't have to be period). Now the account is going to be shot.

It would be a tight squeeze, Ash. You might have to settle for pinholes. That lens mount also moves side to side with the turn screw on top to allow for increased lens separation which you may know enhances the 3D effect for longer focal distances. This camera has a flexible light barrier in the middle to prevent optical crossover too.

BTW: I'm working on putting together a "single-lens-single-mirror" arrangement with my 4x5. I have the mirror, but need a steady method to attach it. At $30 for the mirror I don't want it to get broken. I also need some play time to fabricate it to.

Alas, we are getting off topic.
