I was unable to find much information about Glasser through a google search other than a possible hit referencing a photographer with that same name who also does equine photography.

A Google search reveals that there is a dentist by that name in the Miami area, and here is a photographer by that name who exhibits in the same area--

As long as you've got the program handy, Clay, does it list the names of the other two winners?

Nope, just the grand prize winner was printed on the front of the program. I never did find out where the originals were being shown.

Yup. $7500 dollars in cash prizes handed out at the conference, according to my math.

    Well,

Can anyone tell me what is so superb about this picture. Please, refrain your explanation from those "big - empty" words, so I can truly understand the point.

So far, I'm speechless because I don't know what to comment.
    Anyhow, enlighten me please.

Nice image. Too bad it wasn't shot on 8x10 in color and enlarged to 10 feet part of a series, otherwise it may have been worthy of a National Gallery of Art exhibit (unlike of course this cheap stock photo shot with a lowly DSLR)

QT, in all sincerity, could you please articulate why you find this to be a nice image because I am sympathetic to SAShruby request. I certainly am unable to address his concern. Perhaps you could?

Re: Foto3 contest and traditional/conceptual divide

It looks like it may indeed be an interesting image, but I wouldn't presume to judge it by a scan of a xerox of an inkjet of a dupe.

In any case, with all those awardees, I'm sure there's quite a lot of variety there, and if there were a winner's gallery on the web somewhere, or at least a list of names and perhaps some website links, many people would be encouraged to participate in next year's contest, if there is one.
