This side is the best side to photograph as there are outside lifts on the other two sides that are not very sympathetic to the original building.

The photograph was taken with 5 x 4 Gandolfi Traditional with 270mm Tele-Arton @f11 with orange filter, shutter speed not recorded but around ⅛ second. Film was Foma 100 developed in Retro Pyro scanned then a quad tone applied in Photoshop, no other Photoshopping apart from slight cropping on the right hand side to get rid of a scratch on the negative.

I love the way you framed this shot. Excellent!

The third image is great, the clouds really add to the scene, and this is in instance where color really shines. Were you using Provia on this image? Thanks for sharing.

Another holiday snapshot, this time while I was at a company retreat at Point Lookout, Maine. The place was built by MBNA (thank you, excessive credit card fees!) in the 90s as a corporate retreat, then bought by local investors after MBNA needed a bit of cash. They did a nice job, and this conference building on top of the mountain overlooking Penobscot Bay is terrific. I recently rediscovered a spare print, and scanned it.

    Very nice.

I have shot this building numerous times when I lived close to NYC - sadly never on LF :-(

    Excellent!

We have a flatiron in DT San Francsico but so many electric bus wires are in the way that I never tried to shot it. Another one is in DT Oakland but a ground floor retail shop in its "helm" as turned me off...maybe a wide lens (75mm) will hide the warts.

The vintage look of this photograph really happened by accident. I shot the barn with FP4+ and developed the negative in DD-X. I was still waiting for my scanner to arrive so I scanned the 4x5 on my wife's cheap all in one (copier-scanner-printer). I held a piece of paper about 2 inches above the negative and used a flourescent light that I held about 8 inches above the paper.
