Was just looking at photographs from our 1970 family vacation to Galveston, also went to Houston and have pictures of the Astrodome. Boy that brought back memories.

Also in my previous post I meant Piņon not Pinion. Glad I got up the cinder cone, as the snow is melting fast.

We were on the stone blocks below the sea wall at low tide. Sunshine and puffy clouds over blue ocean with white caps and surf . . .almost didn't care if the shots came out OK.

There are only three types of mounting flanges; too big, too small and wrong thread!

That's a rare day... I've gone down there a dozen times last year and it was dark and brown

Lee Smathers in S. Korea has one and is also marked "11", so maybe it's not a serial number, but somehow used for matching parts.

Good to know, Tim. The one page manual says this about the two models:

"The photos show the model with the gear drive for focusing ·
the back swings. The focus knob is the plain knob at the base
of the back side struts and the lock knob is the knob with the
cap nut that slides in the slotted track on the side of the camera
base. The model without the gear drive is identical except it
has only the knob with the cap nut. This knob is loosened and
the focus is adjusted manually. Then the knob is tightened."

Really excited about my first lens (for LF). Still have some things to get/acquire while making the jump to 4x5...but having my camera and lens is a great feeling!
I will try and post a photo of my camera next time I am at the house.

Symmar-S are one of the best (especially for price) IMO excellent contrast, if they weren't so heavy in larger FL's I would simply stick to that line for all my 8x10 work.

    Good choice!

With my 8x10 Canham (light weight version), under the Alexandra bridge, Fraser Canyon, BC, today. Had the 355G-Claron on the front, and some X-ray in the back. Was a great day, with wonder, soft, glowing light.
